Frequently Asked Questions

• What is the full weight and water capacity?
  The weight varies a little with the diameter of the swing leg (the larger the leg, the less room there is for water) but generally we expect the full weight of each unit to range from about 36 to 40 pounds (that's about 4.5 to 5.0 gallons of water).

• How long is each unit?

  Each unit is 35 inches long.

• What is the inside diameter?

  SwingSafe will fit all standard metal swing legs from 1.5" in diameter to 2.5" in diameter.  The inside diameter of SwingSafe is actually much larger than that for ease of  installation, but as it fills with water it expands to fit snugly on the leg.

   

• Does it fit if the swing set has a slide on the side?

  Yes, SwingSafe is often used with that arrangement.  Just take care to allow some clearance when you install your SwingSafe.

• Are they available in different sizes or colors?
  No, not at this time, but we are always looking to make improvements and the available color selection may change in the future. 

• What is the shipping time?
  We typically see one week delivery when shipped overland, but it does depend upon your location.  We also offer an air shipment option if you would prefer quicker delivery.  Note that we don't ship on weekends, so take that into account when planning delivery time.

• Can it be used when there are freezing temperatures?
  While we have successfully tested SwingSafe in  freezing  conditions without damage, we always recommend that you  drain your SwingSafe when freezing conditions exist.   

• Can they be repaired if damaged?

  Yes, usually repairs can be easily made with a patch kit.  Patch kits are commonly sold in most department stores  that carry pool toys.

   

• Will it be easily damaged?
  No, SwingSafe is made with heavy gage ultraviolet resistant PVC and should give years of service with minimal care.  It can be damaged by sharp objects and string trimmers ( weed eaters), but it usually can be easily repaired as well.

   

• Do you have a return policy?
  Yes, we offer a 30 day satisfaction warranty (except in cases of damage caused by abuse or neglect).  Contact us if you need return information.
